Follow the Master...

Just before His crucifixion, Jesus led His disciples to a second floor room in order to celebrate the Passover together.

But He had much more to show them.

Anagaion (Greek word for “upper room”) revisits that night, and with three questions examines the essentials every follower of Christ needs:

1. Where did we come from?

Breaking the Passover bread, Jesus taught that we should do this in order to “remember” Him and all that He has done (Luke 22:19).
Part I takes a look back at our heritage as Christ’s Church in the world.

2. Where are we now?

In passing around the cup, Jesus said that it was a “new covenant” (Luke 22:20) written by His own blood. Anagaion participants consider together in Part II what that covenant looks like. Just what does a Christian believe, and why? Where are those beliefs recorded, and how can they be communicated?

3. Where are we going?

Through His warning to Simon Peter, Jesus reminds us all that the path of the believer is not always an easy one (Luke 22:31). Part III looks at the life of a backpacker and how it compares to our own journey. What special challenges do Christians face today? What special advantages are ours?
